LBC/electronic
The Fahlke LineStar LBC II monitors the pipeline pressure, determines the static pressure and the pressure loss. The system monitors the pressure loss in the pipeline within a predefined range in order to be able to ensure a correct safety shutoff of the connected actuator valves.
Monitors, logs, initiates
The Fahlke LineStar LBC II system is a standalone system, capable of continuing to monitor the pipeline after power outages lasting several weeks and of immediately reporting errors to the valve actuator SCADA (remote controls).
The Fahlke LineStar LBC II uses a piezo resistive transducer to measure the line pressure and then employs the collected values to calculate the line pressure loss. It continuously calculates the average pressure, records these values in a pressure change log at regular intervals and – after a predefined time period – initiates a valve closure in order to safeguard the line.
Because of its exceptionally low current consumption the LBC II can be operated with solar energy. The LBC is delivered as a complete system and is generally mounted in a stainless steel control cabinet (IP 68) to simplify on-site integration.
